Its funny reading the comments about the debate last night and how awful the moderator was. To the liberals, Romney had an unfair advantage given to him by Leher and kept going over time…to the conservatives. Obama never got interrupted (except once because he wouldn’t stop talking), he got prompted several times on how to answer by Leher, and he got to go over his time repeatedly. A stats report came out this morning, and it turns out the President got just over 3 minutes more talking time than Romney did. Romney won the debate, even Mr. Tingles (Chris Matthews) and Bill Maher agree, but he “lied” and “spun” and “was rude” to do so. Never mind the lies and delusions the President put out there…those were ok because he walks on water.

My bottom line…neither of them are perfect…but the President has had the last four years to do the job he promised to do, and not only has he made things worse, he STILL blames it all on his predecessor. He accepts responsibility for nothing, and forget about his comments 4 years ago that if he didn’t do what he promised, he shouldn’t be re-elected. I had hopes that he would actually do a good job, but he’s divided us even more than we were before. Give someone else a chance before we go down a road we can never come back from.  I honestly shudder to think where we’ll be four years from now, with a President who doesn’t have to worry about reelection.

Did you hear?  Last night I was watching the debate, and while I haven’t researched this, it ticked me off so much I had to blog about it.

We, the American taxpayer, against our will (the polls ALL show the vast majority of American taxpayers were against this) bailed out AIG.  We helped them out from under the mess they created with vast mismanagement, deception, and outright unethical behaviour on the part of their senior executives.  We spent hundreds of billions of dollars on them and other investment banks in the past couple weeks.

So what did AIG just do?  They spent $400,000 on a SPA retreat for a lot of their staff!!!  DO WHAT???  Four hundred GRAND to go get pedicures, manicures, facials, massages, and God knows what else…with MY money?

I guess they’ve been under a little stress and felt it was a justified expense.

I’ll have to research this later…when I’m not so ticked off I can barely type.

thinking these insensitive things this week:

Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise is calling on liberal filmmaker Michael Moore to apologize after he said Friday that the timing of Hurricane Gustav is “proof that there is a God in heaven,” since the storm approaching the Gulf Coast could disrupt next week’s Republican National Convention.

Moore made the remarks to MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann. Republicans have been monitoring the storm’s progress, considering whether to postpone their convention in St. Paul, Minn., if the storm wreaks havoc on the New Orleans area, just three years after Hurricane Katrina.

“I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven,” Moore said. “To just have it planned at the same time, that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for Day One of the Republican convention, up in the Twin Cities, at the top of the Mississippi River.”

Scalise released a statement Saturday blasting the documentary filmmaker for the remarks.

“I demand an immediate apology from Michael Moore to the people of south Louisiana for his offensive and inappropriate comments,” said Scalise, a Republican. “People in Louisiana, regardless of political affiliation, are making plans to leave to protect their families from this serious storm, and the God I know would not share Michael Moore’s glee for our plight.”

Residents of New Orleans and the surrounding area have started to evacuate, while the storm strengthened to a Category 4 hurricane.

Moore seemed to back off his statement on air Friday, later saying, “I mean I certainly hope nobody gets hurt. I hope everybody’s taking cover.”

Keep digging…your hole is getting deeper.

I saw a segment about this children’s show seen on Hamas’ Al Aqsa channel while watching Red Eye this morning (yes, I’ve been sucked in by this 2 a.m. show on Fox News Channel and have started recording it). It disturbs me on so many levels…Presidential candidates preach diplomacy first, diplomacy first, give diplomacy a try. Um…we have. How many times do we continue to sit down at the table with people who think Tomorrow’s Pioneers is a great educational show for the impressionable minds of their children?? Just go to YouTube and do a search on Tomorrow’s Pioneers, and watch some of their segments. Truly disturbing, to this redneck mind at least.

I’m all for diplomacy people…but when is enough enough?

The notes on the following video:

The latest episode of a popular Hamas children’s TV show, Tomorrow’s Pioneers, features its main character cruelly swinging cats by their tails and throwing stones at caged lions in the Gaza zoo.
The episode of Tomorrow’s Pioneers features a costumed adult playing Nahool the Bee at the zoo, tormenting domestic cats and lions. The lions become so enraged by the abuse that one of them repeatedly tries to attack Nahool.
Every time Nahool swings a cat by the tail, an act that can cause permanent physical and behavior problems for the animal, children can be heard bursting into laughter.
Ironically, the decision to terrorize and inflict physical pain on real animals in the episode is an attempt to teach children not to abuse animals. When the program returns to the studio, the children in the audience criticize Nahool for his behavior, and he is told never to do it again.

NOTE: Nahool is the character that replaced Farfur, the Mickey Mouse clone that was killed off in response to widespread international outrage that a knockoff of the lovable Walt Disney character was teaching children about hatred and world Islamic domination.
